Group Exercise Classes
Windom Area Health & Fitness Exercise Classes
Group exercise classes are a motivational alternative to exercising alone. A variety of classes are offered at Windom Area Health & Fitness (see class descriptions below).
Silver Strength, recommended for ages 55 and older, is designed for those intimidated by other exercise classes, and want to participate in the newest fitness craze. Each class is 30 minutes and will incorporate some strength training. Come get a total body workout! Morning sessions only.
Join the newest fitness craze! Fit-row classes are 30 minutes in length and work your total body; legs, core, arms and back. Rotations of rowing and circuits make up this low impact class. This class is limited to 9 rowers and runs for a 6-week session. Additional charges apply: $60 for members, $72 for non-members.
Power Row classes are 45 minutes in length and work your total body; legs, core, arms and back. Rotations of rowing and full-body circuits make up this low impact class. Additional charges apply: $5 per session for members and $6 per session for non-members.
This class is perfect for those people looking to improve their flexibility and balance in a gentle flowing relaxed class.
Vinyasa Yoga is a series of yoga postures sequenced together in a flowing manner. Attention is focused on linking the breath to the body’s movements. This class is appropriate for people who are comfortable with a moderate level of exercise. It is not recommended for beginning exercisers or individuals with injuries. Please check the Fitness Center Calendar for dates and times. Class size is limited to 10 people. Class is available depending on interest.
Six weeks of overall body transformation! Target areas and benefits include: strengthened core, upper and lower body, increased metabolism at rest and mood booster. Come and pump up the jam in the mornings and feel great all day! Class size is limited and additional fees apply. Additional charges apply: $40 for members and $60 for non-members.
Have fun while getting into shape with our Zumba class! It’s an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie burning dance fitness-party that’s moving millions of people toward health joy and health.
This class is a 45 minute class, with a variety of methods, including, but not limited to: TRX Suspension Trainer®, resistance bands, stability balls, dumbbells and barbells.
This class uses a variety of fitness techniques to give you a fun and varied workout. The class includes different forms of cardio, including kickboxing and Latin dancing, as well as muscle-toning and yoga exercises.
Water in Motion:
A low-impact, full-body, cardio workout that helps improve endurance, balance, strength and flexibility. Appropriate for all exercise levels. Class size is limited to 6 participants and is 45 minutes in length. Class is located at the AmericInn of Windom. Cost is $6 for members and $7 for non-members, included with an AmericInn Breakfast after class.

Members have access to Windom Area Health & Fitness via a key fob from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., seven days a week.
8:00 AM-6:00 PM (except on Holidays).

Windom Area Health & Fitness Membership Information
Windom Area Health & Fitness at Windom Area Health offers a variety of membership opportunities including individual and family memberships, monthly and daily passes, 10 session punch cards, and specialty classes.
Members must be 12 years of age. Memberships may be sold to younger dependents with a physician’s order for medical conditions, therapeutic needs or a predisposition for obesity. However, these memberships will be given at the discretion of the Manager.
Windom Area Health & Fitness recommends that all members consult with their personal physician before beginning an exercise program.

Windom Area Health & Fitness Services
Windom Area Health & Fitness (WAHF) at Windom Area Health offers a variety of services to meet the needs of our members.
Fitness Specialist: The fitness center is supervised by a trained fitness specialist to assist all members with their workout. Please ask for assistance if needed.
Fitness Assessments: Fitness assessments are available to members by appointment only. Assessments include benchmark testing followed by designing a workout routine to meet your fitness goals. The benchmark testing includes blood pressure, height, weight and body composition analysis. Our team will then assist members in creating a workout designed to meet individualized needs.
Equipment: High-quality fitness equipment is available at WAHF for member’s use, including 5 Nu-Step® steppers, 1 exercise bike, 3 treadmills, 3 ellipticals, 1 Sci-Fit, 1 rowers, 1 full body cable machine, 1 power rack, exercise balls, strength free weights and bands.
