Visitors are welcome to eat in our hospital cafeteria. The cafeteria is open for service seven-days-a-week, from 7 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Guests may also obtain meals in the room with the patient for a nominal fee by dialing 831-0638.
Complimentary coffee, water and toast, as well as a microwave, are available 24-hours a day in the cafeteria. Various vending machines are located in the front lobby and emergency waiting room.

The hospital also offers patient families the use of our Family Rooms located throughout the hospital. Family Room amenities may include a couch, lounge chairs, TV, and telephone availability. Our waiting rooms in our lobbies are also available to guests anytime during their visit.
The Windom Area Hospital Auxiliary manages the gift showcase in the main lobby of the hospital. A variety of items are sold, including balloons, stuffed animals, baby accessories, keepsakes, games and toys. Please ask the receptionist for assistance in purchasing items from the case.
All proceeds benefit the Auxiliary’s fund-raising efforts for medical equipment and services for Windom Area Hospital patients and the community.
Reminder: For the protection of patients, visitors and staff with latex sensitivities, latex balloons are not permitted at Windom Area Hospital.

Patients and visitors should park outside the Hospital Entrance. Handicap parking has been designated with signs for closer accessibility to the entrance. Space under the canopy is for short-term pickup and drop off only.
Emergency room guests should park near the Emergency Room doors. Parking near the ambulance garage doors is prohibited.
Returning rehabilitation patients can park near the Rehabilitation and Fitness Center door, also marked door B.
We encourage family and friends to visit and do not have posted visiting hours. However, we observe ‘quiet time’ from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. each day for patients to get uninterrupted rest. We ask that the visitors respect the need for patients to recover and rest.
Visitors should use the main hospital entrance. Guests needing to enter after 7:00 p.m. or before 5:00 a.m. will need to use the call button to be allowed entry. Visitors should use the Emergency Room entrance if visiting someone in the Emergency Room.
