Dawn Bos, PhD, ARNP, PMHNP
Dawn has been working her whole adult life in health care (approx 30 years). She has worked in primary care and mental health seeing individuals from birth to over 100 years of age for medical and mental health problems. She has specialized training in mental health care for all ages and is certified for child through adult along with national certification in both family practice and mental health through ANCC.
She has completed and presented research regarding nursing education and mental health care at regional and national conferences, and continues to have a passion for lifelong learning regarding mental health and other broad areas, and reads continually. She has worked mainly in outpatient clinics doing what she would call “primary mental health care” or mental health for all ages and types of mental disorders. If a person’s symptoms and situation are more complex, she works with psychiatrists (Dr. Pavlis and others) or refers individuals to more specialty care such as neurology, neuropsychiatry, or other medical specialties. Dawn also practices holistic care involving community workers, vocational rehabilitation, and counselors among others in client care.
Dawn has three children. She enjoys creative activities, art, music, and physical activity in her spare time.
When a person who is ill or believes himself to be ill and seeks the advice of a doctor that he trusts, having a mental health professional to send them to can make all the difference.

Prescribing Medications & Med Management
Medication Management is an outpatient treatment system used by doctors and pharmacies to ensure that patients are receiving optimal therapeutic outcomes for the prescription medications that they may be taking with ongoing medical monitoring/evaluation.
A psychiatric evaluation, in its simplest terms, an evaluation designed to diagnose emotional, behavioral, or developmental conditions or disorders. The initial evaluation will explore many aspects including developmental history, medical history, family history, social and environmental influences, academic/work concerns, and emotional and cognitive (thinking) strengths and weaknesses.
