Cancer Support Group
CanSurvivors Cancer Support Group
CanSurvivors support group is not intended to be a formal support group, rather a group of friends who know and care. There are no dues, no agendas and no obligation. Spouses, guests and friends are always welcome. CanSurvivors have access to reference materials and resources through this support network. The group meets on the second Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in Windom Area Health’s Cafeteria. For additional information, including meeting details, contact Carol Hartman at 831-4235.
Grief Support Group
What is Good Grief?
Dates: Sept. 26th, Oct. 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st
Time: 6:30-7:30 pm
Where: Good Samaritan Society-Windom, 705 6th Street
There are healthy ways to cope with loss.
Grief that is expressed and experienced has a potential for healing that eventually can strengthen and enrich life.
This is a faith based support group. We will look at Scripture, view portions of a Christian DVD and read the book “Good Grief” by Granger Westberg. Cost is $5.00 for the book and it is yours to keep.

The Multiple Sclerosis Support Group meets the last Thursday of each month at the American Lutheran Church West room in Windom at 7:00 p.m.

Parkinson’s Support Group
The Parkinson’s Support Group will meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 2:00 in the hospital’s Large Conference Room. The meeting will include education on the disease, as well as resources and support from others. Please join us if you or someone you know has been touched by Parkinsons.
